I do not know for you, but during the knitting evenings or the knitting breaks I give myself all day long, I like to accompany my break with a little ritual, as I explained to you this winter. At this moment, in addition to this little ritual that I pursue, I like to accompany my break with a sweet or salty note depending on the time.
Some of you have already contacted me with this question: what can I nibble at the same time as I knit? Indeed, the problem is not so simple: fruits run and make juice that may stain your creation, cookies are crumbs and do not all stand very well …
In my case, I opt for a handful of dried fruits such as almonds, cashews … I avoid dried fruits because they tend to stick to the fingers. Otherwise, I really like to cook biscuits in “snacking” format, that is to say in very small format to avoid putting crumbs everywhere. I take this article to give you a recipe for simple crackers:
- 200g grated cheese
25g of salted butter
120g of flour for the texture
2 teaspoons of water
I put all the ingredients in a robot. I place the formed dough in the freezer for 5 minutes. I heat the oven at 180 °. Meanwhile, I place the cooled dough on a baking sheet with parchment paper and cut small squares in the dough (small enough to be put directly in the mouth). It only remains to cook 7 to 10 minutes depending on the power of your oven and that’s it!
